About Me:
I was raised in both California and Maine. I moved to Maine as a small child with my mother and sister. My mom was in Maine. My dad was in California. I did a lot of traveling back-and-forth between the two states as I grew up and became a young adult. The last year of my mother‘s life my sister and I flew back and forth every single month to help our mother before she passed in February 2009 in Scarborough. After several years passed, my husband and I decided we wanted to leave California due to the policies that were making it incredibly difficult for us to move forward. We decided to move back to Maine and raise our family. After arriving in July 2018, we thought that we had won the lottery. We had space for the kids to run, land, fresh air, clean water, and medical freedoms that California couldn’t offer. Fast forward to March 2020 when Covid tyranny in our state took over. My children were immediately thrust into Zoom classes, and my prospects of obtaining my massage therapy license in the state of Maine were dashed. I was no longer deemed essential. How incredible it is the power of one person sitting in the governor’s seat. After consideration, I decided to pull my kids from public Zoom school and forced masking, 3 feet social distancing, constant testing, cancelled sports…you name it. I decided to homeschool my children. I avoided the Covid tyranny for as long as possible. When my children desired to return to public school years later I reluctantly agreed, vowing to follow their teachers, their curriculum, their schools and the schools intents with my children’s education. My background includes seven years in a sales position at the largest Ford dealership in the world, a massage therapy career that spans over 11 years in a physical therapy setting, and currently a business owner in Franklin, Maine managing a small vacation rental property. I am active in my children’s education and volunteer at my church.
